01 / COMMUNITY HEALTH
Free health screenings with a registered nurse
A chance to check in on your health and ask questions in a familiar community setting. Screenings can include blood pressure and blood glucose checks, with registered nurse review, practical health education, and guidance on when to follow up with a healthcare provider.
We welcome conversations with churches, community centers, and event organizers about bringing Hawkeye to their communities. Screening services available at each event will be listed with its announcement.
Screenings help identify concerns; they do not replace a medical appointment or provide a diagnosis.
02 / DEMENTIA CAREGIVER EDUCATION
You care for them. You deserve support, too.
Our free caregiver education focuses on the everyday questions families face when someone they love is living with dementia. Topics can include understanding changes, supportive communication, daily routines, safety, and knowing when to ask for additional help.
Bring your questions. Learn practical approaches you can discuss with your loved one’s care team and use to feel more prepared in your caregiving role.
03 / CAREGIVER SUPPORT & CONNECTION
A place to be heard.
Caregiving can feel isolating. Hawkeye offers opportunities for caregivers to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and learn about community resources through support groups and educational gatherings in partnership with local memory care facilities and units.
These gatherings create room for encouragement and practical conversation. Each announcement will explain the audience, location, format, and registration details.
